ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) Selection for Waterproof BLDC Motor
- The speed of BLDC motor does not exceed the speed of ESC, it can be matched and used.
- Brushless DC motor speed calculation formula: battery voltage * motor KV value.
Brushless DC motor stator speed calculation formula: motor KV value * battery voltage * motor pole pairs. - The limit speed of V4 series ESC is 60000 ERPM.
The limit speed of V6 series ESC is 15000 OERPM. - If the maximum speed of BLDC motor exceeds the speed of electric speed controller, the ESC can also be matched by reducing the working voltage of motor. But we do not recommend this, because it does not really play the role of brushless DC motor.

Tips: Why Use Phenolic Epoxy Resin in Outrunner BLDC Motor?
- Strong adhesion, high mechanical strength. Because there are many polar groups in the molecule, such as hydroxyl (-OH) and ether group (-O-). Due to the polarization of these groups, the epoxy resin molecules and adjacent surfaces produce electromagnetic suction, and the epoxy group and the metal surface containing active hydrogen form a chemical bond bond is very strong, therefore, the bonding force is particularly strong.
- Good corrosion resistance. Phenolics and polyesters are not alkali resistant, while epoxy resins are better alkali resistant, and have good corrosion resistance to acids and organic solvents.
- Good heat resistance. The thermal deformation temperature is higher than polyester. Especially for hot curing products, by changing the curing agent, the hot deformation temperature can be greatly increased.
- Good electrical insulation. It has good electrical properties in different temperature range, and can be used as F class insulating material in motor.
