Tips: Stepper motor can rotate continuously?
If the stepper motor rotates for a long time continuously, the temperature of motor will rise. When exceeding the internal heat resistance grade, the insulation performance will be deteriorated. When using the stepper motor, the motor can rotate continuously so long as the surface temperature of motor shell is below 100℃. The temperature of stepper motor can be easily reduced through following methods.
- Select motor with sufficient torque and reduce the running current.
- Heating can be effectively inhibited by reducing the running current. However, corresponding output torque will also be reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to reserve certain margin when selecting the motor.
- Select efficient stepper motor, by optimizing the material, the loss is substantially reduced and heating also can be reduced.
