Tips: Basic Structure of 4hp (3kW) 3-Phase Asynchronous Motor with Clutch.
Three-phase asynchronous motor is mainly composed of stator and rotor, bearings. The stator is mainly composed of core, three-phase winding, seat and end cover. The stator core is generally made of 0.35~0.5mm thick silicon steel sheet with insulating layer on the surface, laminated, and the inner circle of the core is punched with evenly distributed slots to embed the stator windings. The three-phase winding is connected by three identical windings of the same structure, which are spatially separated by 120° electrical angle and arranged in a team, and the individual coils of these windings are embedded in each slot of the stator according to certain rules. Its role is to pass into the three-phase alternating current to produce a rotating magnetic field. The base is usually cast iron, and the base of large asynchronous motor is generally welded with steel plate, and the base of micro motor is made of cast aluminum, whose function is to fix the stator core and the front and rear end cover to support the rotor, and play the role of protection and heat dissipation.
The enclosed motor has heat dissipation tendons outside the base to increase the heat dissipation area, and the end caps of the protective motor have ventilation holes at both ends of the base, so that the air inside and outside the motor can be directly convected to facilitate heat dissipation. The end cover mainly plays the role of fixing the rotor, supporting and protecting. The rotor is mainly composed of iron core and winding. The rotor core is made of the same material as the stator, which is made of 0.5mm thick silicon steel sheet punched and laminated, and the outer circle of silicon steel sheet is punched with evenly distributed holes to place the rotor windings. Usually the inner circle of the silicon steel sheet is used to punch the rotor core after the stator core is punched. Generally, the rotor core of small asynchronous motors is pressed directly onto the rotor shaft, while the rotor core of large and medium-sized asynchronous motors (rotor diameter above 300~400 mm) is pressed onto the rotor shaft with the help of rotor brackets.
