Tips: Current operation principle of Nema 17 micro stepper motor.
- The torque of Nema 17 micro stepper motor is proportional to the product of the current and voltage passed in a certain period of time, and the maximum value is obtained when starting (when not rotating). According to this principle, the voltage is usually fixed, only proportional to the amount of current).
- If you want to increase the current, you can thicken the coil to reduce the resistance, or reduce the number of coils (the total length of coil) or increase the load.
- If the coil wire is thickened, do not increase the number of coils. Conversely, if the coil wire is made thinner without increasing the number of coils, only increasing the speed will reduce the torque and make the Nema 17 micro stepper motor unusable.
- Generally speaking, the smaller the number of coils of Nema 17 micro stepper motor, the lower the resistance of rotor, resulting in larger current and higher speed.
- For the same rotor, if the magnetic force of the magnet becomes stronger, and the speed and torque will increase.
