Tips: What is the role of the capacitor in the single phase motor circuit?
Since the single phase motor has only one-phase alternating current, although the magnetic field is also rotating, there is no starting torque, which causes the motor to fail to rotate after being energized. It needs an external force to start the rotor. Therefore, people use the characteristics of the capacitor to change the original alternating current by a phase difference and connect it to a starting coil in the motor to generate a starting torque so that the motor can rotate. It can be said that this capacitor plays the role of starting, also called the starting capacitor.
