Tips: Whether can the subdivision number of subdivided driver can represent accuracy?
The subdivision technique of stepper motor actually indicates an electronic damping technology, which mainly aims to mitigating or eliminating the low-frequency vibration of the stepper motor. However, enhancing the running precision of motor is only an attached function of subdivision technique. For instance, as for 2-phase hybrid stepper motor with the stepping angle of 1.8°, if the subdivision of subdivided driver is 4, the running resolution of motor is 0.45° for each pulse. Whether the precision of motor can reach or approach 0.45° depends on other factors such as the subdivided current control precision of subdivided driver. There may be great difference in precision of subdivided drivers manufactured by different manufacturers. Therefore, the larger the subdivision number the more difficult to control the precision.
